The renovation of Kotka Original Sokos Hotel Seurahuone is progressing quickly. The hotel expansion began in early 2024, and the new five-story hotel wing has already reached its full height. During the summer, a new lobby and reception area were also completed. The new extension will include 55 rooms, and 70 existing rooms, along with a suite, will receive a new, maritime-themed interior. The hotel's services remain open during the renovation, and the project will be completed by summer 2025. At that time, the hotel will feature 218 rooms, four restaurants, nine meeting rooms, three saunas, a gym, and a relaxation area.
