The Inspiring Maritime Centre Vellamo

More than 100.000 people visit the inspiring Maritime Centre Vellamo annually. The marvelous wave-shaped building in the legendary Kantasatama Harbor is a sight in itself and hosts numerous quality events and exhibitions around the year. In 2023 it will be accompanied by the fantastic new harbor arena Satama Areena for events as large as 3.000 people. On Kotkansaari island where this event center is situated, all restaurants and sights can easily be found within walking distance.  

Refreshing Day Out by the River Kymijoki

For a refreshing day out in the nature we recommend a visit at River Kymijoki for river experiences in beautiful Finnish landscape. Erämys Keisarinkosket organizes a variety of activities on the river from yoga to white water rafting, canoeing and cruises. The day will be topped by delicious blazed salmon dinner, a sauna and a dip in the river.
